Love...is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no

1 Corinthians 13:5

Have you ever tried to forgive someone and found you simply couldn't do it?

You've cried about it and prayed about it and asked God to help you, but

Can you sleep while the Wind Blows

Years ago, a farmer owned land along the Atlantic seacoast.

Wreaking havoc on the buildings and crops.

As the farmer interviewed applicants for the job, he received

A steady stream of refusals.

Finally, a short, thin man, well past middle age, approached ...

There was only one little thing bothering me...

It was her beautiful younger sister.

My prospective sister-in-law was twenty-two, wore

In every situation, there are always two stories—the story you see and the story God sees.

Sometimes life seems to be taking us down a huge detour and everything looks like it's not going our way. In those situations, our life and our story seems to be a disaster.

This is exactly what happened to Joseph, whose story is found in Genesis 37-50. Joseph's brothers jealously hated him and sold him into slavery. Joseph was wrongfully put in prison for raping Potifer's wife, when really he refused ...

Ephesians 5:1-2, NIV

Like many couples, Barbara and I began our marriage with a commitment

to love one another. But we didn't really understand what real love was all

about. Now, after more than three decades together, we know that our

love is much more than a feeling--it's a lifelong commitment.

I shudder when I think of the shallow love that we had for each other when

In our secular world where

materialism is the order of the day, people tend to be more concerned about themselve only

and negletting others in spite of the situations and circumstances they may be.

Encouragement is a vital tool we need in other to run the race that is set before us
